2025 Essence Festival of Culture

The 2025 ESSENCE Festival of Culture®, presented by Coca-Cola®, returns to New Orleans from July 4–6, marking the 55th anniversary of ESSENCE Magazine. This milestone event celebrates Black excellence through a dynamic blend of music, culture, and community engagement. Evening concerts at the Caesars Superdome will feature performances by Boyz II Men, Maxwell, The Isley Brothers, Summer Walker, Davido, Nas, and Master P. Additionally, Jermaine Dupri will present a special tribute to Quincy Jones titled “ESSENCE Flowers.” Anthony Anderson and Kenny Burns are set to host the nightly shows .
Daytime activities at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center offer a range of experiences, including the ESSENCE Food & Wine Festival™, BEAUTYCON™: @ESSENCEFEST Edition, AFROPUNK BLKTOPIA™, and the ESSENCE Film Festival® by ESSENCE STUDIOS™. Attendees can also explore the SOKO MRKT™, showcasing Black-owned businesses, and participate in wellness sessions, empowerment seminars, and family-friendly programming .
The festival's theme, “Made Like This,” underscores its commitment to celebrating Black culture and creativity. With a significant economic impact on New Orleans, the ESSENCE Festival continues to be a cornerstone event that uplifts and unites the community .
