Wayne Baker Brooks, born on April 30, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, is a distinguished American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. As the youngest son of the legendary blues musician Lonnie Brooks, Wayne was immersed in the rich blues culture from an early age. He began his musical journey by joining his father's band in 1990, where he honed his skills as a rhythm guitarist and eventually became the musical director.

In 1997, Wayne established the Wayne Baker Brooks Band, marking the beginning of his solo career. His debut album, *Mystery*, released in 2004 under his own label, Blues Island Records, received critical acclaim for its innovative blend of blues, rock, soul, and funk. The album showcased his unique style and solidified his place in the contemporary blues scene.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Wayne co-authored the book *Blues for Dummies* in 1998, alongside his father and Cub Koda, contributing to the education and preservation of blues music.
