Ari Lennox, born Courtney Shanade Salter on March 26, 1991, is an American singer and songwriter known for her soulful and emotive voice. Raised in Washington, D.C., Lennox began pursuing music at a young age and gained recognition with her debut EP, "Pho," released in 2016. However, it was her association with J. Cole's Dreamville Records that truly propelled her into the spotlight. She signed with the label in 2015 and later released her critically acclaimed debut studio album, "Shea Butter Baby," in 2019.
