Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward stands as a quintessential disco anthem, emblematic of the genre's zenith in the late 1970s. Released in 1979, the song was penned and produced by Frederick Knight, who originally crafted it for 11-year-old Stacy Lattisaw as a teen-oriented tune about chatting on the telephone. However, after Lattisaw signed with another label, Knight reimagined the song with more mature themes and offered it to Ward, who was then working on her debut album, *Songs of Love*.
