Chicago Blues Festival

The Chicago Blues Festival, renowned as the world's largest free blues festival, is set to return from June 5 to 8, 2025. This annual celebration of blues music will take place across multiple stages in Millennium Park, with an opening night event at the historic Ramova Theatre in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
Established in 1984, the festival was inaugurated a year after the passing of blues legend Muddy Waters, often hailed as the father of modern Chicago blues. Since its inception, the event has honored the city's rich blues heritage, showcasing a diverse lineup of both legendary performers and emerging artists
The 2025 edition will feature performances on four stages throughout Millennium Park, including the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Additionally, concerts will be held at the Ramova Theatre and the historic Maxwell Street area, further immersing attendees in Chicago's deep-rooted blues culture
Admission to all events is free, and for those unable to attend in person, select performances will be livestreamed on the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events' YouTube channel
