Midnight Tapes by Brian Culbertson Released in 2026 on BCM

The Midnight Tapes is the landmark 30th studio album by contemporary jazz, R&B, and funk artist Brian Culbertson, set for release on February 5, 2027. Marking a major career milestone three decades after he debuted with Long Night Out, the project captures a moody, vintage-inspired late-night atmosphere.

For the first time in his career, Culbertson handled every aspect of the nine-track album—writing, arranging, producing, engineering, mixing, and performing on all 44 instruments himself during an intensive three-month solo project. The instrumentation ranges from keyboards and rhythm sections to horns and diverse percussion.
