So much going on right now that affects the Gay community, some good and some not so good. The same can be said about anybody and everybody. There is a lot of pressure from the 'others' to make any one of us feel beneath them because they cannot rise above. It's easy to ignore what doesn't affect you thinking you have no skin in the game but is that really true. At this moment in time we have an administration looking to divide us because if we are fighting each other, we are not noticing what THEY are doing to us. Gay vs Straight, Black vs White, Latinos vs Asians, Native vs Immigrant (Legal or otherwise), Catholics vs Jews, Muslims vs Atheists, fat vs skinny and smart vs ignorant. There isn't a single one of us that shouldn't feel proud of who and what we are, where we come from and who our people are. The diversity amongst us is what makes us strong as a nation and as a population. Karel recorded this tune as a reminder to all of us to have PRIDE.
