Lenny Fontana is an influential New York DJ, producer, remixer, and longtime figure in house music. His career began in the mid-1980s, when he was immersed in New York’s vibrant club and radio culture. Fontana has credited radio personality Frankie Crocker of WBLS with helping shape his musical education, while the sound and legacy of Larry Levan and the Paradise Garage also became important influences.
